How your funds are protected

Last updated: October 2026

Auspex never holds your money. Your wallets are yours, created for you by Privy, and we never see or store their private keys. What we hold is a trading key, and this page explains exactly what that key can and cannot do, what we watch, and what we do not cover. We would rather you read this than take our word for it.

What our key can do

  • Place and close trades on Hyperliquid in your account, including stops, take-profits, copy trades and, if you use it, Auspex Auto.
  • Pay the per-trade platform fee shown on every fill.
  • Move funds between your own Auspex wallets.

What our key cannot do

  • Send funds to any address outside your own Auspex wallets. That needs you, signed in. Rules attached to each wallet refuse it, and those rules are set by an offline key that our servers do not hold. Even if our servers were taken over completely, the attacker would have a key that can trade but cannot withdraw.
  • See or export your private key. Privy holds keys inside secure hardware; our systems never receive them.

What we watch

  • Every withdrawal, transfer or new key approval on any Auspex wallet is logged and alerts us within a minute, around the clock.
  • When you withdraw, you see the exact decoded transaction (destination, amount, chain) on a confirmation screen before you sign it, so what you see is what is sent.
  • Sign-in attempts to our admin tools lock after repeated failures. Every product page is tested every morning and any failed job alerts us.
  • Our signing keys can be rotated at any time without touching your wallets.

What this does not cover

  • Your email or login. If someone controls the email you sign in with, they can sign in as you. Use a strong, unique password on that email and keep it to yourself.
  • Hyperliquid, Privy and the blockchains themselves. We build on them and cannot guarantee them, and their own terms apply.
  • Trading losses. A stop placed on the exchange limits a loss; it does not remove it.

What we will not do

We will not promise to refund losses we cannot fund. Our Terms limit what we are liable for, as every non-custodial service's do. What we offer instead is a design where the thing that would have to go wrong for your funds to move is you, not us.

If you find a way around any of this, tell us at support@auspex-trade.com and we will fix it and say so publicly.
